Consulting Services has join ESTA’s
Technical Standards Program’s Powered Rigging Standards Task Group. The Task
Group is a subcommittee of the Rigging
Standards Working Group.
BSR
E1.6 was recently divided to evolve into three separate
documents. One will be a set of standards for traditional chain motor type
hoists. Another set of standards will cover other types of theatrical hoists
commonly associated with stage rigging systems or other systems that raise and lower loads over people, and a third will
provide recommended practices for chain motor type hoists.
All
meetings are open to anyone with a direct interest in the creation of the
standard.
